Every document is prepared and reviewed by attorney Rozsa Gyene, State Bar No. 208356, in a limited scope engagement. Each fee is plus the court's own filing fee, set by the court of the county where you file and paid directly to the court. The court's fee in Los Angeles County is $435 as of 2026-09-07.

Add-ons
each a separate purchase, never implied as included- Expedited document turnaround, $300. The office prepares each document stage ahead of its ordinary turnaround. The six-month waiting period set by California law is not affected.
- Former name restoration after judgment, $200. An ex parte application to restore a former name after the judgment has been entered, where it was not requested in the judgment.
The flat fee includes one round of revisions to the settlement agreement and one correction of a judgment packet the court returns. Further rounds and corrections are add-ons.
When the fee is earned, and refunds
The flat fee is paid in advance and earned in stages, stated in the engagement letter you sign before paying:
- 25 percent when the engagement begins and your intake questionnaire is opened to you.
- 75 percent when the first stage of documents (the petition and summons, or the joint petition for summary dissolution) is approved by the attorney and released to you.
- 100 percent when the settlement agreement (the marital settlement agreement, or the property settlement agreement of a summary dissolution) is approved by the attorney and released to you.
If the representation ends before a stage is reached, the unearned portion is refunded. If the matter becomes contested, the flat fee engagement ends and the unearned portion is refunded.
What the office does not do
The office does not represent the other spouse, does not appear in court (a court appearance would be a separate engagement), does not give tax advice, does not prepare divorces with minor children, does not provide or arrange notaries or witnesses, and does not record deeds. Where a document must be notarized, you use your own notary. Where the agreement awards a residence to one of you, the deed is a separate engagement and you record it yourself.
This fee covers attorney Rozsa Gyene's services for the petitioner only, in a limited scope engagement. The other spouse is not a client of the office and is not advised by it.
